Default Player(s) suing gold farmers in WOW..GW next?

http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/loc...2.story?page=1

There's a WoW player suing a stateside company for selling ingame gold from WOW...follow the link to the story.

I think it's a noble stand, but, how yah gonna get to those in countries that have no copyright laws etc? It's one of those things that'll never be stopped I don't think.

Taiwan ( i think im right) started the Gold sellers (with gouvernement support) VS online games.... WAR

we(players) must do something about it...
to suppport the online games ( gouvernement has ninjasthey own online games)

so options:
-IDC kill eachother but drop the ectos price!
-sue gold sellers
-tell gold sellers mom's they suck at life..

so... choose ur side!

Soooo.... they're being sued because they're selling game content.... and their argument is that players have no property rights to the game content.

Their cunning plan.... I think they did not think it all the way through.

That's why I'm happy to see what ANET did with Taiwan when the gubmint basically said that game companies have no right to write the rules of their own games: cut them off from the rest of the world.

I would have no problem playing an online game that blocked Chinese/Russian/etc. IP addresses.

Skimmed it over, as stated in the article his law suit consists of basically nothing without Blizzard backing him up.

LOL.

This will never stand up in court. The guy has no legitamate claim to sue. Only Blizzard, who owns the game and all its content, has the right to file suit.

This will get thrown out (although it is a good publicity stunt to get attention on the matter).

Surprised that this even got this much publicity, especially since his case is only going to go downhill.

Instead of trying to be a smart ass you could have paid closer attention and noticed that he is Portuguese, hence English is not his first language.

only in America, god damn torts, punitive damages and all that crap!
I doubt this will stand in court, as the online community isnt really bound by any solid laws, besides the agreements everyone agrees to when buying the product. I cant believe real lawyers will be discussing such matters in real courtrooms infront of real judges. perhaps they should add the lawyer profession to World of Warcraft
